PINK FLOYD Ummagumma (Rare 1970 UK transitional
first/second issue of the 1969 9-track stereo double LP with
'The Gramophone Co' label perimeter text, with the EMI logos on
the first three sides but without on side four, front
laminatedgatefold picture sleeve. Everything matches the first
issue apart from the first disc labels, but now the inners are the
Harvest advert inners and the spelling mistakes have been
corrected SHDW1/2)

TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
A classic album, this late first issue has EMI boxed logos on the first three sides but not the fourth. The 'Gand' misprint on Side Four has been corrected as has the 'Londen' misprint next to the printer's name on the back of the sleeve. Inside the gatefold, the small multiple images of Nick Mason cross the entire sleeve, with the EMI credits in white at the centre.
As three Sides now sport the EMI logo on the labels, this must have been pressed right on the point of change.
The proof that the vinyl is original is that the fourth side has no EMI logo but does have the corrected spelling as 'Grand'.
The inners are now of the poly lined Harvest advert type and no longer plain.
Condition:
The sleeve itself remains very nice indeed with just a little edge & corner wear evident, but nothing extreme and the spine is still easy to read.
The vinyl has obviously been extremely well cared for and is free of anything but the lightest paper scuff, remaining in excellent condition with little sign of play.
An very nice copy of this unusual transitional late first pressing.
