That pivotal year saw the trio enter Emerson, Lake & Palmer's Manticore Studio in Fulham, where they captured their first-ever studio recordings-raw, unfiltered, and full of the ferocious energy that would soonbecome their trademark. Now, nearly five decades later and in celebration of the band's 50th anniversary, those long-lost tapes have finally been unearthed, cleaned up, and released on CD. The Manticore Tapes presents that historic 1976 session in full, with additional alternate takes and instrumentals that offer a rare glimpse into the making of a legend.
