MICK SOFTLEY Street Singer (Superb 1971 UK 13-track LP by the talented singer/songwriter who was one of the many who disappeared to the South of France in the early sixties along with Wizz Jones, Davy Graham, Clive Palmer & Alex Campbell, onlyto come back & start the legendary Spinning Wheel club, which lasted for a year before the police closed it down. This album also features many of the friends he made through those years including Gerry Conway, Tony Cox [who also produces], JerryDonahue & Richard Thompson. It even has backing vocals from Doris Troy & Liza Strike! The picture sleeve has just a little wear mostly to the edges & comes with a company advertising inner, whilst the vinyl shows little signs of play with just a couple of light cosmetic surface marks. Although not mint, this is still a really nice example & only the third we have ever had)
